To secure our contact form against unwanted use, we use the EverCAPTCHA service of our website creator and host United Media AG, Hansaallee 299, 40549 Düsseldorf. EverCAPTCHA allows the distinction of whether data input into the contact form is actually made by a human or abused in an automated manner by a machine, a so-called spambot.

For this purpose, various questions are asked when using our forms (e.g., "Click on a symbol X" etc.). EverCAPTCHA stores all failed attempts of a user, an IP address via a session ID stored in local storage. The session ID is transmitted via JavaScript on each request to the server. If 30 incorrect entries occur, the user's IP address is permanently stored in a database for spam protection. Otherwise, the IP addresses are deleted within 7 days.

YourRate widget
